UNIT BRAIN First International Meeting
The “G. d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara hosted an international meeting for the UNIT BRAIN project on the 3rd of July 2024, which focuses on studying the effects of endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) on the human nervous system. The event brought together project partners, policymakers, and members of the scientific community to strengthen collaboration and discuss the project’s progress and future directions.
During the meeting, each partner presented their contributions and shared methodologies and strategies to advance the project. Discussions addressed experimental planning and coordination for the next phases, aiming to uncover how EDCs may contribute to neurodegenerative diseases. The meeting emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary approaches, combining cell biology and morphology, artificial intelligence, and advanced technologies. The participation of policymakers provided an essential perspective on how scientific insights can inform regulatory measures and promote safer practices. This event underscored the importance of international cooperation in tackling global challenges, such as the regulation of toxic substances, with significant implications for public health and environmental sustainability.
